TBA-Sparks Club Fun Day at Camp Elkanah
The Sparks leaders are looking into the idea of a day at camp for Sparks to celebrate finishing this year. We will keep you posted as our ideas turn into a real plan.
April 16th-18th (And possibly on the 17th) 15 Section Camp at Elkanah
15 Section Camp is for all T&T clubbers who have passed a total of 15 Sections or more this year. We are working with Camp Elkanah Staff to see if it is feasible to have some kind of 15 Section Camp this year. As the date gets closer we will have more information, but for now we wanted you to have the date for your calendars.

March 18th, 2021

Sparks Time Trial and Race: 6:00-7:00 PM
T & T time trial and race: 7:30- 8:30 PM

Below is information concerning the Grand Prix

Most Important: The Grand Prix is a fun way to finish the AWANA year! Your cooperation is needed to make sure we continue to follow the guidelines that we have used this year. Masks will be required. Please limit your clubber’s “support crew” to two people. The Race will be livestreamed here on our website and available for all to view.

Time Trials: Time trials will precede the race. Bring your car as ready to race as possible (see prep note below). The track will be open to test cars before the race.

The Race: The Grand Prix Race will run as in the past. Each car will race four times and the winners are determined by their race speed. Following each race awards will be presented, photos taken, and race times compared.

Cars and Numbers: If you can find the car and number from last year, use that number for this year’s race. If you need a car, they are available, at no cost, in the office. If you need a number, or have questions, parents can visit the office before and after club.

Car Prep: Car workshops this year will be in Mark Wing’s shop. If you need a hand getting your car cut out, weighed (5 ounces) and ready to race, give Mark a call at 541-562-5870 and he will get you set up.
